Argentina Photoblog

Asado, malbec and amazing landscapes… what more can you ask for?

Argentina is a beautifully diverse country, and a lot of fun to backpack around. The people are great and so is the asado. Of course, there’s so much more for me to explore but so far, I’ve had the chance to check out Iguazu Falls and southern Patagonia. Check out my Argentina photoblog, featuring my favorite shots from my travels, mostly from Patagonia… because Patagonia is awesome!

Fine art prints of all these photographs are available for purchase on this site (click the photo or go to the shop section). Some of these photos are also available on my Etsy shop.

Iguazu Falls

There’s quite the debate on which side of Iguazu is better- the Brazilian or the Argentinian side. I took a day trip to Argentina while backpacking around Brazil, so I didn’t spend much time there but seeing both sides of the falls is definitely worth it because they both have very different perspectives. I think it’s personal preference but the Argentinian side is pretty cool because you get very up-close and personal with the falls. There’s also boats that take you under the falls, which was lots of fun (no pictures from that though!)

Patagonia

Most of my Argentina photos are from Patagonia because backpacking around Patagonia was one of my most favorite trips. From Chile I headed to El Calafate to visit the beautiful Pierto Moreno Glacier. After that I made my way to El Chalten to spend New Years and to do some hiking in the Fitz Roy mountain range. Even though I was there in during the summer, the weather wasn’t very cooperative. El Chalten was great, even with the clouds and fog. Blue skies came out to make for a beautiful New Years Day- an awesome way to ring in the new year.
